A truly exceptional Japanese dining experience in the heart of New York. What impressed us most was not only the outstanding quality of the Wagyu, but the incredible care and precision behind every single step. The restaurant is small and intimate, and watching the food being prepared right in front of us made the experience even more special. You can feel the attention to detail – from the quality of the ingredients to the preparation and presentation. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. Everything is done with skill, respect and genuine dedication. A wonderful example of how simplicity, craftsmanship and exceptional quality can create something truly memorable. An absolute hidden gem in NYC – highly recommended!

TLDR; one of the best meals I’ve had this year. Even more bang for your buck via restaurant week special. Really top shelf beef cuts. Ambiance (5/5): The dark and sleek décor provides an elevated dining experience. We ate upstairs in semi-private rooms with one dedicated grill for our party of 4. Service (5/5): We dined during NYC restaurant week 2026 and service was very backed up. We were upset that we waited 25 min past our reservation time and then waited another 10 min for our service to begin. However, the establishment fully made it up by serving us complimentary items throughout the meal! This was a cook yourself dining experience. The servers came to check in on us throughout the meal. They were understaffed and literally running from room to room. Food (5/): If I could, I would rate the food 6 stars. For the restaurant week menu, it was absolutely worth a $100+ meal. They helped portion out all of the dishes for our party and even gave us more than the listed meat options. Wagyu tartare: even had a dollop of caviar, the whole thing was so so good. Service was great and the staff was attentive, especially our server, Leo! He took the time to explain the different kind of meats. We suggest trying the strip loin and flank steak. It was a great cut and cooked to perfection.

This place delivered! I came hungry and ate to my heart's content. Ruben was my server and he took care of me. He answered all my questions, guided me through there menu and accommodated all my requests. I will be back! Pro tip: lunch is way less crowded than dinner. Here are my recommendations (YMMV): The short rib and zabuton are where it's at. Skip the tongue. Don't sleep on the lobster roll.

My husband and I had this restaurant on our “Must Try” list for awhile and we were not disappointed. We had a reservation at 5PM and arrived a few minutes early. Right away, there was an employee setting up signs outside that greeted us. He told us the dining area wasn’t ready yet but we were more than welcome to wait at the bar. We were seated shortly after and that’s when we found out that the employee outside happened to be our server, Alex. Alex made the experience unforgettable. He was extremely friendly, helped us out with recommendations for appetizers, and checked on us often to see if we needed anything. Needless to say, our table was never empty. Huge shoutout Alex! As for the food, it did not disappoint. We ended up going with the Unlimited. Everything from the appetizers to the sauces/seasonings was amazing. We didn’t order too many appetizers since we didn’t want to get full too fast. But I enjoyed the oxtail potstickers and seafood tartare. Onto our favorites, we both would not stop talking about how much we enjoyed the lobster tails and miso Chilean sea bass.
